Transfer Process Timeline

  • February

    Board determines our district’s participation in HB2747 and slots for release and acceptance.

  • March 15 - May 15

    Resident Students - request for release approved up to the limit determined by the Board.

    Non-resident Students - require two steps - obtain release from home district AND complete Oregon City School District’s inter-district transfer request form.

  • After May 15

Non-Resident Student Inter-District Transfer Timeline

For students living in another school district who wish to attend school in the Oregon City School District.

Currently open for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Process for Families Wanting to Attend OCSD:

  1. Provide official documentation that your child has been released from their neighborhood school district.

  2. Complete the OCSD Non-Resident Student Inter-District Transfer INTO Form (printed forms available upon request).

  3. Determination is based on enrollment capacity.

    Please note transportation will not be provided by OCSD. Transportation is the responsibility of the family.

Resident Student Inter-District Transfer Request Timeline

For students living in the Oregon City School District who wish to attend a school in a different district. Please note that the request must also be approved by the requested school district. 

Process for Families Wanting to Attend a Different District: 

  1. Complete the Oregon City School District Inter-District Transfer Out Form (printed forms available upon request)

    Transfer Window March 15 - May 15

  2. Meet with the building principal of attending school to discuss this request. 

  3. Oregon City School District will be releasing 30 students for the 2024-2025 school year. Requests are considered in order of receipt. Transfer requests outside of this timeframe will only be considered if they meet the criteria of Hardship as defined by the Oregon Department of Education.

  4. The transfer is NOT complete until your child has been accepted by the requested district. If the district does not accept your request your child will remain enrolled with OCSD.

Mid-Year Moves

If you have moved out of the district and would like to stay in OCSD for the 2023-24 school year, please complete the Mid-Year Move form below. This form does not guarantee enrollment for the following school year. If you would like to enroll for the following school year please see the forms above.

Please note transportation will not be provided by OCSD. Transportation is the responsibility of the family.

Intraschool Transfer

For students wanting to remain in OCSD and attend a different school in OCSD.

If you are interested in an intraschool transfer within the Oregon City School District, please complete the Intraschool Transfer form and send it to the front office at your neighborhood school. Please note if the transfer is approved, transportation will not be provided by OCSD. Transportation is the responsibility of the family.

Intraschool Transfer Form (Spanish / Russian)

If you wish to locate your neighborhood school, you may do so on the *Clackamas County Maps website. (Secondary students wanting to enroll in CAIS or OCSLA do not need an interschool transfer form. Please see their enrollment webpage). 

*Due to discrepancies we have found on Clackamas County Maps, we recommend contacting the front office of the school listed for confirmation. 

OCSD Charter/Magnet School Enrollment

Please use the following links to find more information about enrolling in one of our charter/magnet schools. Inter-district transfers are not necessary for charter schools. Contact the program directly for enrollment information.
